Top 5 Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Kuwait for Q1 2024

During the first quarter of 2024, Kuwait's carpooling and ridesharing market saw varied performance across the top 5 apps on a unified platform. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads and active users for each app.

Careem – rides, food & more showed a steady increase in weekly downloads, peaking at around 2.8K in the third week of February. However, there was a noticeable decline towards the end of the quarter, with downloads dropping to approximately 1.6K in the last week of March. Active users saw a peak at 42.7K in mid-February but experienced a slight decline to about 37.3K by the end of March.

Uber - Request a ride also experienced fluctuations in downloads, starting the quarter with 1.6K and reaching a high of 2.5K in the fourth week of January. Downloads then declined significantly, hitting a low of 659 in the second week of March. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at 86.1K in late January and dropping to around 72.2K by the end of the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride had a modest performance with weekly downloads fluctuating between 283 and 1.2K. The highest number of downloads was observed in the fourth week of January. Active users showed a gradual decline from 5.6K in early January to 4.5K by mid-March, before a slight recovery to about 5K at the end of March.

inDrive. Save on city rides maintained a relatively stable download rate, ranging from 401 to 787 throughout the quarter. Active users started at 8.4K in early January and saw a gradual decline to about 6.7K by mid-March, with a slight increase to 7K by the end of the quarter.

RideRove had the lowest download numbers among the top 5, starting at 360 in the first week of January and peaking at 593 in the second week. Downloads then decreased, reaching 347 by the end of March. Unfortunately, data on active users was not available for RideRove.
